Master Class

The purpose
It is our intention to contribute to the development of churches and church leaders, by equipping leaders who will effectively and proficiently advance the kingdom of God through the exercising of their enhanced gifts and ministries.
It is our aim to train people to the extent that they will acquire the necessary skills and the practical experience to immediately operate within a Christian ministry at a level of leadership.
The course will run for 12 months from October to September. And graduation will be dependant on students completing the required amount of modules to an acceptable standard plus satisfactory completion of the personal assignment and course project.
It is the intention of this college to equip student with the ability to formulate reasons for believing the things they believe. And to investigate adequately so as to answer those who question them regarding their faith.

Hermeneutics
Students will learn skills enabling them to understanding the Holy Bible better, we will look at and use commentaries and other scripture help books. We will look at Greek and Hebrew lexicons and be aware of how we use them. This module will be linked to our biblical text module.
Assignment: Students will be asked to comment on a passage of scripture, demonstrating that they are aware of a plethora of arguments and possible interpretations.

Christian Doctrine
In this module students will study and be aware of some of the major topics that have challenged the church throughout the centuries, the outcome of which have helped to define Christian belief. Some possible subjects include: the Trinity; once saved always saved; the nature of Christ; the nature of God; the doctrine of Hell and more.
Assessment: This course will be assessed via seminar debate; Students will be required to study and understand a topic. Evidence that they understand appropriately will be demonstrated as they engage in debating a specifically given point of view.

Homiletics
We will be looking at developing public speaking skills in this module. Consideration will be given to both the public delivery and the message expressed by ones body language. This module will be a module that is ongoing through out the course.
Assignment will be based on both completion of assignment and practical demonstrate.

Leadership Training
This is a module where students get to learn and develop the skills necessary to lead competently and effectively. It is most helpful if the students are already in a position of leadership so that they can practically apply the things they are learning. This unit will also be one of our ongoing modules.
Assignment: Essay based on teaching but including practical application.
Modules


Biblical text
Utilising the skills from understanding the bible module and teachings on specific books of the bible, plus the discussions based on previously assigned readings. This module develops the overall ability of the students to handle the Word of God.
Assignment: Essay or as lecturer determine
Modules


Spirituality
Exploring the prophetic ministry, the working of the Holy Spirit the presence of God, prayer, meditation, personal bible reading times and ways in which we can enrich our relationship and devotion to God. We will also be looking at ways in which we can influence other to have a healthy relationship with God.
Assignment: TBC
Modules


Personal Assignment
Students will be encouraged to choose a subject of interest that they which to study through out the year. The strategy and direction will be agreed upon at the start of the course with the principle. The idea is that students after studying the agreed subject might be able to practically apply the things they have discovered and have expressed within their conclusion.
Assignment: 4000 word essay.
Modules


Course project
All students will work on a college project together. This will involve intense research, reading, drawing up of plans, communication and practical application. The principle will oversee this project and assessment will be based on the realisation of the project.
Possible projects could be to conduct a mission oversees, plant a church, set up a Christian based community project.
